Friends of 187 is pleased to announce the release of its REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS for enrichment programming for the 2012-2013 academic year. Educational program providers are encouraged to submit proposals following the attached RFP instructions by June 1, 2012.

Gala UpdateThe Friends of 187 4th Annual Gala this year broke 2 records – attendance of 200 friends, parents, community leaders compared to around 130-150 last year and the funds raised through the auction, as seen in the chart below, almost doubled thanks to the amazing work of the auction team!
Mission StatementThe mission of Friends of 187 is to work together with the Parents’ Association, the School Leadership Team, 187 alumni, and the Washington Heights neighborhood to fund academic, artistic, and social enhancements at PS/IS 187.
